Our very enthusiastic group of girls (x15 from P1 – S4) meet regularly on Monday evenings where they enjoy taking part in all activities but mostly games, craft and singing. This year our company chose the theme of‘ People who help us in day to day life and in the Bible.’ We decided to initiate altogether nights around every 4-6 weeks where we work on our theme. Our older girls love helping the young Explorers and the young Explorers love spending time with the older girls! So far we have had a harvest night, Indoor Bonfire night, party night and film night. In early April we had an Easter craft and hot cross bun night to which we invited our parents. All the activities we do on these nights are linked to our theme.

We attended church for our Dedication Service in September. Around Harvest time members of our congregation came along to speak to us about The West Lothian Food Bank and the important work they are doing in our community. The girls collected food for a few weeks and we presented our donations to them. In December we took part in our annual Carols by Candlelight service at the Church. This is always a favourite with the girls and their families. As our Christmas treat we all went to the cinema to see Nativity Rocks!

Early in January we had a visit from the Red Watch Team from Livingston Fire Brigade where our older girls were taught CPR and our younger ones learned about fire safety. The girls really enjoyed this and we went and visited the Red Watch team at Livingston Fire Station where again we were taught the importance of CPR and calling for help. The highlight of the night was trying on helmets and going inside the Fire Engine. At the beginning of February our Juniors enjoyed a night Ten Pin bowling along with the other Juniors of West Lothian Division and our Brigaders also enjoyed tenpin bowling with the Division in April. We attended West Lothian Division new look Quiz on 8th March where our Junior team came a 3rd and our leaders Team came 2nd.Jennifer our Captain welcomed baby Freya into her family in August and has been on maternity leave, we look forward in welcoming her back after the summer. Janice has been caretaking the company during this time supported by our excellent team of officers and helpers. Our Elders Annette and Jane are frequent visitors and are always keen to help out if they can.

We look forward to August and our Enrolment night when our faithful girls return for lots of fun with Gracie Bee and where we hope to have some new GB girls to join us.
