Prayer for this week: ‘Grant us, even us, our dearest Lord, to know you, and love you, and rejoice in you…Let the love of you grow every day more and more in us, that our joy may be full in you.’ A prayer adapted from the prayer of Augustine of Hippo (354-340 AD)
Intimations for this week:
Re-opening of St. Nicholas Church for in-person worship: Sunday 13th of June will be the first Sunday that we are back in St. Nicholas – and it is so good to look forward to start meeting in person again! There are a few rules and guidelines that we need to adhere to. For Sunday 13 June, the service is fully booked, and unfortunately that means that if you do not have a booking that you please should not come to church. We do not wish to turn anyone away at the door. The maximum amount of people allowed in the building at any one time is 50 due to the 2m social-distancing rule. Bookings for the next Sunday will open again on Monday 14 June. Please contact Mrs. Carol Ewing to book a place from a Monday to a Wednesday between office hours of 9am-11am, on Mobile phone: 07862 953847 or Email: firstname.lastname@example.org. Bookings will be taken on a first come first serve-basis. Things will look a little bit different than normal: we will all need to wear face coverings for the entire service; hand sanitisers will be available at the door and a duty elder will show you where to sit, as the inside of the church has been prepared with signs and markers of where to sit (which may mean that you won’t be able to sit in your usual spot) and which doors and exits to use. We are allowed to sing however, face coverings must be worn. The service will also be recorded for those who will not be able to be in church, and will be made available on Youtube, Facebook and the website, by a Sunday evening. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Hanneke on 01506 206045 or email@example.com or your district elder, and we would be happy to assist you with any questions or queries.
