Offering at Church servicesPlease place offerings in the plate at the church entrance on arrival so that the offering can be taken to the chancel at the beginning of the service. Because of continuing Covid-19 health and safety issues some of our normal routines during services cannot yet be restored and the collection of our offering by elders is one example. Thank you.

SOYA   Very many, many thanks to all who contributed in any way towards giving of Christmas gifts to our SOYA kids. We are so grateful to have been able to give 220 Christmas gift and lunch bags to Social Work for delivery by them to 60 girls and 50 boys throughout West Lothian. Without your kindness and generosity their Christmas would have been so much the poorer.  EVELYN

HELP FOR UKRAINE Do you have a warm winter coat or jacket that you no longer wear or need?  Can you spare it for someone else? We have recently been made aware through the media of a desperate need for warm outerwear in Ukraine – and of a charity in Edinburgh that will collect these and send them by container as soon as possible to be distributed by an on the ground charity in Ukraine.

David and I would be very happy to collect any coats or jackets that could be left either in (please note change of church) St Nicholas 18th December, or in Open Door on Monday 19th December. We will then deliver them to the charity as soon as we receive donations.   EVELYN

Thank you all for such an immediate response to my request for help for Ukraine.  On Sunday 11th, we drove into Edinburgh to deliver a boot load of winter jackets and coats for onward shipment to Ukraine.  Those receiving our delivery were delighted, and happy to tell us that they had managed to get a container delivery through to Ukraine the previous Wednesday.

They told us that they will also be happy to send, as well as much needed outerwear (for men, women,  children and babies),  very good warm sweaters, scarves, hats and gloves.

David and I were so touched by the obvious enthusiasm and caring attitude of those in Edinburgh – which included 2 very young teenagers – that we have agreed to continue collecting from Strathbrock and delivering to Edinburgh for as long as possible.  God bless

Nancy Wilson I would like to wish all at Strathbrock a Happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year. Thank you for all the visits and phone calls which are so very much appreciated.   God Bless.
