Holiday Club

In the past we have successfully run holiday clubs for children during the holidays.  In Broxburn Parish it was at Easter and in Uphall it was in the last week of the summer holidays.  This was a highlight for those involved and for many children in our community.  There will be a meeting on Monday 17 April at 7.30pm to explore the possibility of running a church holiday club this summer.  There are many questions including where we would run it? Who would be involved? What would we hope to achieve?  You are invited to come along to discuss these questions and others.  If you are unable to attend the meeting please let someone who is coming know your interest.

Travelling Well The two small groups are coming to the end of the 24 studies, “The Acts”.  Our next topic will be an in depth look at the 12 Disciples. If you are interested in joining others to learn more on your faith journey please contact the Office or speak to Rachel Shepherd or Annette Frater.  If you would like more information about Travelling Well Rachel and Annette would be pleased to discuss. We expect to begin our new session in the week commencing 23 April 2023.

“Its your move” As our P7’s begin their plan to move to Broxburn Academy the Council of Churches has purchased 210 copies of this booklet which provides guidance and discussion points for teachers and students.  These will be taken  to school after Easter holidays.

UKRAINE DONATIONS UPDATE

We are delighted to inform that with our delivery to our Edinburgh charity on 26 March, we reached the wonderful total of 115 large black bags filled with clothes, shoes, boots, hats, scarves and gloves,  and which also included 5 bags filled with nappies and baby wipes.  As an extra we have also begun to collect tin cans and aluminium drinks cans which the charity sells to a neighbouring scrap merchant.  (We have a can crusher so no need to try to squash them down).  If you are able, please will you continue to give any of the above items and leave either in church or at the Open Door.  If you have any queries, please do call me on 07546 087230 or speak to me in church.
